Adding Calorie Counts to Menus

I just read an article I thought I’d share with our readers -

Apparently there is a provision in the health reform bill that will require restaurants with 20 or more locations to include calorie information right on the menu. This is good news for those of us that are tracking our intake but certainly not so good for those of that believe in the ‘ignorance is bliss’ theory.

  1. I think that is such fantastic news. My son is a Type 1 diabetic and getting nutritionals from most restaurants has been almost impossible.

Putting the calories on the menus will make these restaurants start working to come up with tasty, healthy alternatives. You watch how fast our choices change!

Our state has no requirements, so I am so glad to see a national law for this.
